Nice ride guys - I really enjoyed myself. I actually enjoyed riding back home in the dark a lot.

I'm not entirely clear on whether it actually was raining or not as I came out onto the flats from Little River. It certainly was gusty and there were particles in the beam from my headlight - it felt as a combination of rain and leaves but I wasn't wet when I got home...

i thought it was a soup of moths, leaves, rain, hail and spray.

I had a blast on the hill though, although it was tricky seeing some corners and timing my high beam to see the corner behind bent.

I would have liked to have made it tonight, but had a b-day party to go to, and have not put the wheels back on the Griso yet... better get that sorted before the haul to Nelson on Fri.

Had a pleasant trip out after our stop where 2 folks discovered the benefit of fuelling before we leave a lesson learnt I think.

The trip home was unpleasant through Barrys Bay rain and leaves with some pretty strong wind gusts, the bike clicked over to 10,000 K on the way home, now the wee service light has come on.

Going to miss next week I believe, something else on will see closer to time.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

Yer, great ride thanks guys. Thoroughly enjoyed it as usual. That felt like hail around Lake Forsythe, I could feel the impact through my jacket. Riding through the maelstrom of leaves and other airborne debris was fun - kinda like giving mother nature the big finger - "is that the best you can do" scenario.
I thought I'd got away with not getting wet until I got all the way back to the Waimak Gorge where it was absolutely pi$$ing down through to Oxford. Hopefully my radar detector still works in the morning - don't want to join the HOT club like poor old Dave hehe

Sounds like Nogos still cant get it right, they did the same to my workmates ZX9R, and after it had been returned to them to get 'sorted' bout 5 times they finally gave it back to him saying that if he breaks the speed limit that it wont be covered under warranty...
Seriously go see Ian and Rodger in at Just Motorcycles in NewBrighton (next to Harringtons) they will give you a good deal on fixing it and they will actually fix it properly and wont give any bullshit like alot of other rogue tractor mechanics out there...
1 wheels enuf, any less is showing off

Didn't notice any rain when I went through, funny you mention the light, I popped a wheelie at the gebbies turnoff and landed it very quickly when the road in front of me dissappeared in the darkness!!!
