mcwild, there's the parks on hereford right beside colombo, if there's a car or courier parked in them dont be afraid to ask (read: tell) them to move or call a towie.

Nothing wrong with that. All that matters is that you enjoy your riding I'm a slow old fart but that doesn't stop my enjoyment and I have fewer encounters with &
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Yeah I know I park there all the time, I've just seen a ton of bikes parked in that aforemention private place and so thought if there was a sheltered park that was free to use I might as well use it.
Believe me, I've had a few colourful conversations (from their side) about the meaning of the little motorcycle diagram before when it's been busy.
The other thing is the scooters that park at awkward angles, or park so far to the right that you need to go way out onto the road to back back in.

Cool pics Stanley, I particularly like the "oarsome orange" bike, just a shame about the rider lol.

    Go the renegade riders
These aren't the bikes we're looking for....

Awesome to see new faces and old faces (spud!).
Pootling is fine nothing wrong with that, and believe it or not that's actually how your skills improve, lessons learnt while pootling carry over to speed.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

I know my skills are a lot better then when I started riding (thanks to Phoenix, you, TA and Wofman) but I just dont think my speed has improved or will improve much more. But I still enjoy riding and pootling is fine so I'll just keep on pootling

What is this word "pootling" anyways??

    Christchurch Rides

Are the Christchurch rides still going ahead? 6pm at Burger King on Moorhouse?

I'm a new rider so it would be good go go out riding with someone who actually knows what they are doing.

I rode my partners new bike back from Waimate last weekend (GPX250), when I hopped back on the gixxer I felt like I was tipping forward over the bars.

Hopefully Chianti Chic (my partner aka Karen) will have enough confidence to come on a Wed ride soon...all in good time.

what do you have to do to be bad?go thru a fence?that seems to be the common denominator.

i hope things have settled down,i would like to come on a few more rides with you all before winter gets too close.
