When Bud Surber was blinded by a shooting following an argument, even this failed to stop him building a motorcycle!
Surber - who says "I'm totally blind, no light at all” – built what he describes as a “quasi Harley-Davidson”. He said “"I just do things by feel. I've been doing mechanic work for years. I would cut some parts with my saws and then I'd have them tack it together."
Surber, who will sit in the passenger set while the rider at the front controls the steering, still maintains a lot of control "I built it with the whole idea I would have clutch, throttle and shifter" he added.
The bike is being rolled out for Harley-Davidson's 105th anniversary celebration.
