    Thumbs up Possum shooting service

    Hey guys!

Just wondering if anyone has any lifestyle/farm land in the Auckland area where I can come shoot a few possums and rabbits (or something bigger if need be!)

Would be really appreciated. Been ages since I've done a shoot (other then small bore target shooting), and being in Auckland, not much chance at it.

Flick us a PM or reply here if you can help

    Cheers guys

    -Indy

Its a pitty you are not down here. Just pick an area with native bush or forestry and go door to door. The secret is to develop a very reilyable business like relationship with the land owner. If you clown around or he finds dead (say) ducks or worse in his paddocks you won't be invited back. Also don't make too many comitments to too many land owners. One good property is worth 10 average ones.
Its a bit of a pain but the life style blocks close to town are just to small to shoot on, you probably want to be well out of town on bigger properties. The farms close to towns get lots of town folk wanting to hunt there.
On a new property I throw all the dead critters out in the open where the farmer can see them the next day, if the farmer thinks you have done a good job you have.
Also say please and thank you and a few beers helps.

Show up in tidy clothes with out your rifle if your going door to door.
I find it easier to get on a block when you show up asking beforehand and setting a date, rather than just asking "can I shoot in the paddocks bro?"
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

Yea, we used to get quite a few guys like that.
Pays to be responsible from the start, then you'll be allowed back.

Good luck finding a block mate.
