...no im not drunk yet so i have no excuses.
Its good to finally sign up on the site, im Darrin and my handle is "Scuzeme" as in "get out of the f@#king way wanna be boy racer with the wanky blowoff valve", sorry i too have a blowoff valve situated between my ass cheeks and thats the only good place for them.
First time i hopped on a bike was about 30 years ago i was 10, you do the math, anyway that enlightening experience involved a 50cc minibike, me steering, a fencing strainer and the pillion passanger breaking his arm in three places...great memory for me not so much for him he he.
6 years later and i had my very first bike an XR200RC first Honda with a monoshock, knobblees and a 120kmh down the motorway yay, i must have gone through 10 sets of handle bars great bike before i sold it, the next one was a road bike, an old aircooled RD350, which had sticky carby sliders, sold that, i then moved onto a TT500 twostroke road bike, to me it looked like a triumph and went like the clappers i dismantled it to restore it and never put it back together anyway at 18 i moved away from bikes and started driving cars deluding myself that it was better because you didnt get wet when it rained it was a great motel to take my girlfriend too and it was easier to carry a dozen piss in the back...
....20 or so years latter after working my f@#king arse off i brought a Ducati 1991 750 SS for $6K and spent another $6k doing it up, best sounding bike ive ever owned to this day, loved it, spanked it, crashed it, restored it. After being off a bike for so long i thought it was the bees knees man and i thought i could beat anything on it, my expectations of that bike and my own super racer skills (not) were seriously dented on more than...300 occasions give or take, thats when i decided to get another Ducati enter the 1098s which ive had for a year now.
Since then i have sold my 750 and brought a R6 06 race set up platform, i seriously love this bike and track it every month at Taupo, i plan to do clubmens next year.
Anyway thats my bike history i spend a bit of time on the Rimas, Paekak Hill Road and on the Pirinoa straights, im always looking for like minded people to ride with so look forward to seeing some of you Kiwi Bikers out there soon.
......ps wish id never sold that 750.
