    Howsit crew (Harlie)

    Hey all,
Signed up about a year ago when I was trying to figure out what to buy for that 'all important' first ride. Ended up going with the MIGHTY Hyo Comet contrary to the ever abundant negative judgments (have since moved over to the faired gt version).

Been riding ever since dad did the old "You got the throttle sorted son" before sneekingly jumping of the back, back when I was 5,6,7???

A bit anoyed that its taken me this long to get out on the road, but now that iv figured out the wonderful world of bank loans theres no looking back!!

Dont' wanna bore on my first post so ill quit my drivelling.

I came to KB for advice, but have stayed because iv always wanted to ride with and alongside fellow bikers. (talked a mate into bying a bike-got a zxr 250-lowslid over a curb-hasnt touched the bike since) Am super keen to meet up, talk shit and (drink piss if the situation calls for it) but more importantly clock up them km's on the hyobag.

Time to stop living vicariously through u lot and instead join u!!!

PS If u Welly folk see a hyo rocking around with a helmet spitting out dreadlocks give a wave (not trying to start a wave thread!!!!)

OOHH pps would be real sweet to find some ppl who wouldnt mind helping me mechanically. Ridiculously short on tools/space/knowledge but super keen to get into that whole aspect of biking (especially given that i own a hyosung at the mo)

    Cheers all

Appreciated MIXONE, even the basics at this stage (knock on wood) eg. doming my own services etc. Cant afford to fork out for tools cause im spending all my coin on services haha.

Irony surrounding that generation comment is that he had to get rid of his bike when I came along and now im helping him talk himself into getting "back on the saddle"!!

Buy yourself a workshop manual, and do your own service's. Two service's done by you will have paid for the manual with the money you've saved.
Tools... figure out what you need and check out second hand shops. Always a bargain to be had somewhere.
Plenty of free advice and help available if you ask the right person (help may even be offered by some)

Id love to see someone get a hyo up on one wheel in the flesh!!!!

Niiice FJrider, makes sense...Iv always wondered, and its probly a difficult/subjective one to answer, do people frown upon self-services. That is to say, will having all those 'official' bits of paper from a shop help more with the resale (the Hyo is for me after all a temporary machine)
