FZR1000 EXUP suspension goodies

A recent query about putting a bike engine in a jet boat turned up such goodies as Yoshimara GSXR1260 engines just sitting in peoples sheds, so this got me thinking...

Has anyone got any suspension goodies such as aftermarket shocks etc for an FZR1000 EXUP? The year would be '89 to end of line (95?). Apparently YZF750 shocks will fit too, with minor mods

I could also be interested in R1 or R6 front brake callipers (these bolt straight on to my year) if the price is good

If you have anything at all for an FZR1000 from '89 on I could be interested.

However the USPS is not. Your best bet is to acquire a mate in the US who can send you stuff. That's how I get stuff from overseas.

Ahhh, I see. Maybe I'll just get the original shock rebuilt. Oh well, I'll see if this thread turns anything up. XJFROSTY has an Ohlins for sale, but it looks to be 35mm too long.

Hey Tony you should go see Don at pitlane MC, he's right in2 his Yammy's im pretty sure he's got and yzf750sp front end sitting there with brakes and all, who knows what else he has tucked away....i spoke to my mate about the gsxr engine(he's the guy that crashed on xmas day) he wants to see how his hand heals b4 he sells anything, if it turns out he cant work on anything then he will probly sell it...

So THATS why he has the Gixxer engine in his shed- I guess it was propelling his bike along before the affore mentioned crash? Is the bike a writeoff then?

I have to defend the USPS somewhat - they are not anywhere as expensive to ship goods to NZ as the likes of Fedex or UPS ...you may be getting mixed up with UPS ...the rates are easy to check if you know the parcel weight.

Actually I ship parcels both ways sometimes and our NZ rates from our Post Office to the US can be worse than the US to NZ...

Yip, I agree with that. Seems most use UPS which must be like a courier service, and sometimes a person may get their price to send out here but USPS is cheaper and not too slow if you ask for airmail. I recently had a footpeg bracket c/w peg and brake pedal sent for $20US and also brake caliper also $20US, both took about 10-14 days.
