    For me, Brian May from Queen rates really highly. As the original poster mentioned, Buckethead is pretty cool. I only came across him after he did a few gigs with GnR.

    Glenn Tipton and KK Downing from Judas Priest are pretty special, but seem to work better as a team than on their own.

    Like someone else said, often it is the band as a whole that is more important than the individuals in it.

    The guy on the left with the short hair is Kazumi Watanabe. One of my favourite guitarists of all time.

    Not strictly rock, but fusion is close enough and Led Boots is a cool tune.
