This just adds to the complete clusterf#*k that racing here will end up being for the next couple of years.
The MIC haven't said yet which tracks they have contracted with (I suspect none at this point) and one would think that's the first duck they need to have in the row, otherwise all their ideas won't have a place to come to fruition.
All sides have to bear some blame for the current state, DMG to start with but then the manufacturers teams who wouldn't commit to what they said they wanted when they were pretty well given it by DMG backing down to some extent.
It's a pissoff, that's for sure. One benefit could be club racing if the manufacturers come up with contingency plans that actually pay well - but if they're spending all their money on race teams AND a race series, I just wonder if they'll reduce their payouts in WERA, CCS and all the other series.
MIC says this is different to the CART/IRL split, but on the face of it, it really isn't.
    As usual, egos trump reasonableness.
OK, rant over. Normal service is resumed.

    Cheers
    Barry
