They better not be 600's like CBR600s as that is not GP racing

I mean Yeah V twin 600CC's etc like currently Vtwin 250's but go say 600CC Vtwins and allow them out there but they must have to be a Grand Prix Race bike or else thats fucken rediculous.

    125 - 600 - 800.

A wee jump isn't it? and then almost no range.

Need some more devistry in moto gp than that. I say bring on the 400 - 500. (If has to be a 4 stroke! pfft)

This has been slated for quite a while. From what I heard when I was at the MotoGP at philip island last year. The proposal will be production 600 engines in prototype frames. Making it easier for other manufacturers to come into the scene and make something competitive. I think there will be some engine mods allowed but nothing too drastic.

Pretty stupid imo, I'd be surprised if it made competition more competitive. Look at what going to 800's has done to motogp, nearly as boring as F1 now. Leave it be!

why would u bother putting a prod. motor in a prototype frame. thats like making a carbon fibre tail and then putting it on a lead sub frame. dumb as.

its supposed to be GP racing for a reason. sounds like dorna are getting jealous of superbikes

ahh, the same mentality that sees the F3 class pussies in NZ throw out motards because they get their arses kicked on street and tight tracks

Friggin diesels. Drop the whole thing and just change it to 600 and 1000 Superstock rules. Ditch Superbikes and Supersport. Gather all the Motards up and dump them in the mid-Atlantic trench.

I'm with you, 600 is too big, let's see 400-500 four strokes and ditch the 125's for 250 four strokes ( or let 'em run together) then hopefully we'll see some development in smaller roadbikes again.....

lol, bring out special frames for ZXR400 motors, and half of our F3 grid would become MotoGP contenders... tossers ruining all that is pure with the GP world..

another thought, they should make it 400-500 otherwise they could just used modded supersports like WCM did with a modded R1 motor for motoGP in 2003. make 5 cyl 500's...

    Now that sounds familiar.

If they bring 600's out, they are only going to be off the 800's lap times by about 2 -3 seconds and using the same lines. At least with the 250's there some variety in the lines etc and good racing.

Honestly 250 singles would be to slow in 125's depends what engines they use custom GP engines or use a MotoX 250F
Id say 450's in 125's but if I had a say itd be keep 125's

And say 500 Vtwins for 250's

Well shows how much you know. Have a look at the auzzie 125's. One of the guys was only 3 or so seconds of the pace of blake leigh-smith. Thats all the evidence I need to know that the 250 4t will be faster than the 125's 2t in not to long a time.
