Where did everyone go? 22/01 Wairarapa?

Went for a ride at about 11:30am, got back about 6pm. On the way over the hill, I saw one bike! Two at the flying fish and hardly any on the road. Did I miss something?

The lack of bikes was MORE than made up for by cages, and stupid bitches in Pajeros (sounds like a clichè, but true). One tried to drive though me on a roundabout when she didn't give way, so I was able to hoot all the time following her around the roundabout. I scared her so badly she pulled violently to the left and stopped. Fuck it was funny.... Funnier if she rolled the bike-bashing 4x4.

Should be a better turn out tomorrow, 9:30/10am Caltex Timutaka. Be there, or ride faster to catch up with us

    Think about it Dave.

Warbirds over Wairarapa - millions of cars going over the hill.

Vodofone X-Air on in Welly with heaps of FMX.

Would you really be mad enough to try and take a bike over the hill today?

Anyway my excuse for not being there today is I had to take my darling wife (who incidentally is 8 months preggers) to hospital.

Poor Gini's stuck in the maternity ward at Hutt Hospital with an IV drip in her arm feeling miserable. And I have to stay home and look after Tim.

    Not a good day.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

You can ignore my question in the earthquake thread (I think) about the missus. When's she due? Getting excited? Congrats!

Ca you make the ride tomorrow? See ya there, or wherever I see ya next.
    Dave.

Yeah - I went over there yesterday too and hardly saw any bikes at all. Sorry Dave - remember I don't use my phone so I only got the text today because I had to use it. I went over at about 10.30-11ish so that's stink timing eh. Good to hear you've got your bike back though!

It was the AGM of the Ducati Owners Club in Tokaanu on Saturday. Hamish, Her_B4 and me headed up early Saturday AM, the rest of the Wgtn Ducati guys/guyesses left Wgtn around 9.30am.

Hamish and I came back via Rotorua, Gisborne and Napier, arrived home today.

CelticNo6: hope Gini's okay, keep us posted.

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.
