A husband is someone who, after taking the trash out, gives the impression that he just cleaned the whole house.
I'm not sure if it's the correct name, but it involves travelling the world, and helping to improve people's lives by natural means. Eg: High levels of aresenic in water in China, causes poisoing. So then, from a geo point of view, how can we make it better or solve the problem?![]()
"Die with Memories, not with Dreams"
RIP Zukin.
"Any man can become a father but it takes love to become a Dad"
Oh nice! I like that idea!
That would be incredibly interesting and very satisfying!
I've never had any firm idea of what I wanted to do for a crust. In fact, I still don't know and I'm pushing 28.
Obviously, I had to do something so I managed to bullshit my way into a software development company when I was 21. I went Software Support > Technical Writer > Business Analyst. I'm still in IT, now working as a Technical Analyst at a consultancy company. It's not for me but I'll fall into something else when I move cities eventually...
I guess it beats taking over dad's motor trimming business!
Then? Cop
Over the years? Bit of everything!
Now? Business Consultant with Telstra Clear. Low pay, low stress, lots of fun!
Almost like being semi-retired!
Growing up? NAh!
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!
then: Civil engineer or navy captain. Later on a breast cancer specialist.
Did a building trade & was a motorcycle courier for a while. That was followed by 25+ years in transport in one position or another.
Currently a driver & am enjoying the relatively low stress levels.![]()
Growing up I wanted to be unemployed.
Now I'm an anal-yst and wish I was unemployed..
at 4 yrs I wanted to drive a Tractor,
at 8 yrs I wanted to drive trucks
at 12 yrs I wanted to be a builder
at 14 yrs i wanted to test matteresses with Sandra
I wanted to be a rock star – but the biggest band I was in was a blue grass band
I wanted to race cars and bikes, crashed a few cars and fell of a couple of bikes, was too slow and not enough money
Wanted to be a preacher – but couldn’t stop sinning
Wanted to have my own car yard, but can’t stand the car sales industry
So not being good at anything really, too honest to sell cars, to dishonest to preach – I ended up as a bureaucrat
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on
Wanted to be an Ambo, did that then joined Corrections, was a volunteer with the fire brigade and am now a Transit Officer in Aussie, for those that dont know what that is it is a Railway Policeman![]()
Plenty of time to decide yet...
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon
Ha ha ha - me too!!
When I was very young, I wanted to be a hairdresser and go all creative on the blue rinse brigade - but I wasn't able to, so then I decided that I rather liked the idea of being a librarian all prim and proper on the outside and raging lunatic on the inside - but I wasn't allowed to do that either (long story!).
Then I decided I wanted to race cars, but I wasn't allowed to buy one - I sort of petered out of ideas then, apart from having grand notions of being a kept woman at one stage.....
The reality - (is that I get bored easily) ...
EDIT: Actually what I really really wanted to be was a go go dancer for Pete Sinclair![]()
