Then I decided I wanted to race cars, but I wasn't allowed to buy one - I sort of petered out of ideas then, apart from having grand notions of being a kept woman at one stage.....

The reality - (is that I get bored easily) so somewhat in order but with a few gaps to protect the innocent :-)...:

    Shop assistant
    Receptionist
    Book keeping machinist
    Chicken farm hand
    Mother
Industrial cleaner (god that was a good job - earned me $1.50 an hour!)
Making childrens clothes for a boutique
    Kitchen hand
    Masseuse
    Part time criminal
Emergency child care for teenagers in trouble
    Fish shop hand
    Fish shop chain manager
    Sales Receptionist
    Sales Manager
    Prison Officer
    C&R National Instructor
    Training Manager
    Unit Manager
    Prison 2 I/C
    Junior BA
    Helpdesk Manager
    Business Analyst
    Project Manager
    Programme Manager
    Senior IT Manager

Now - a consultant currently on contract as a Programme Director.

I would still rather be a kept woman...
That is impressive, well done you.
    Oh bugger

    Great thread, a good read

As a kid wanted to be anything with a siren as a few have said, a racing car driver, an astronaut, a tank commander in the army, you know, all that boys stuff.

My first real job was starting a car washing business, was about 9yrs old lol. I decided against a fixed price to curb people saying no after a few hit & misses, I asked instead for a "donation", this proved to be very lucrative. All the people that donated a low amount never got a 2nd visit which improved my limited time he he.

As a teenager wanted to be a welder like my dad, but earn ten times what he did, ie: a diving welder. Turned out I didn't really like welding as much as I thought I would.

    Jobs in order:

Self employed car washer at age 9 lol
    Paper run
    Welder
    Chef
    Barman
    Waiter
    Car salesman
    Property salesman
    Commercial property consultant
    Investment property consultant
    Senior investment property consultant/Business advisor
Senior financial consultant specialising in tax effective investment property
    Senior investment property consultant
Bum for a year (he he)
    Manager
Process worker in a chicken factory lol
    bad bike accident (ACC bum)
    Aluminium extrusion process worker
    Manager
    Manager/Business owner
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Always like computers or any electronic hardware but ended up as a software developer. It pays much better.
