ok, maybe its my age - but this thread is about ROCK yeah? Theres been Sweet FA lately. Heres some classics.....you younger guys n gals can ignore it, or whatever. These are not necessarily their best songs, nor the best versions.....just the easiest ones to locate quickly on Youtube

Marriane Faithful - cover of Lennons Working Class Hero. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N_rNz2oAGA

Stevie Nix / Fleetwod Mac. Rhiannon
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR_i0sKWKEA

ok ok, something modern then. Fine. Anastacia - Im outta Love.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnOy6HEf7HU

The chick that Lady Gaga is copying....The Miss Grace JONES - Pull up to the bumper.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtnFg0KOQcA

Wanna go back even further? Pre Fleetwood Mac day....Chickenshack - Id rather Go Blind (Than ride a Honda?)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ohx9Ve7-GS0

Annie Lennox- Sweet Dreams (are had on Guzzi's)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-y91...eature=related

Kim Carnes - Betty Davis Eyes.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Al9blQOhNw

Plus the other 100 artists already linked on this thread.....Pat Benetar and Joan Jett. And the PJ Harvey naysayers = go check her duo with Nick Cave.
