yeah well if he does come back i would honestly like to hear an explanation of how you can ruin a clutch cable like that so that i can avoid doing so myself, and maybe help out the next guy in a similar (but less arrogant) position

It wasn't under permanent tension. It wouldn't have broken if some hadn't decided to play with it on Friday. The cable was the correct length. The outer wasn't shagged until it was damage on Friday at the same time the cable broke.

And for you people who have literacy problems, what broke was the weld on the little nipple thing at the end of the cable. I posted that earlier. The cable had been made for me by the guy at Atomic, hence it wasn't as strong as a proper cable to begin with. When I went back there on Saturday to get him to weld it back on he couldn't so decide to make a new one and that is when we found that something was wrong with the outer, the old cable was extremely difficult to get out and a new one couldn't be threaded through. Did I not make that clear when I first posted it?

Thankfully rather than speculating if or what I had done something wrong some of you had actually tried to help and I thank those few whole heartedly.
This much is clear. Both yourself and the person that made your cable are cabbages. More than likely both the outer AND inner cable were made to the wrong length.
