    They seem to be running the John Britten memorial race meeting at Ruapuna in March each year. It'll probably be then in 06 aswell.

    Good idea. We did February one year - too flakey on the weather, booking etc. March was better.

    Well OK this was a hit with enough people to make it worthwhile!

    With deference to mr Hitcher, the non planning approach only works if you all ride together and can make a decision. That ain't gunna happen! We will have mega bikes riden by demons through to little bikes ridden by the experience challanged so we have to manage the riding or else people will get left behind or go missing, get hurt etc etc. We don't want that!

    I propose a couple of wellie based volunteers get together and we will plot a route. It will include a shorter loop ride for those with commitments and a longer route as well for the dedicated.

    Larger camping grounds offer a wide variety of accomodation but it will mean sleeping bags.

    SI tour

    Hasst , Wanaka, Cordrona Pub, Crown Range, Queenstown, Glenorchy, Te Anau BBQ at my place, Milford Sound, South Coast , Riverton, Invervegas, Stewart Is overnight, Catlins,Scumdogs, Dunedin, Middlemarch, Cromwell, Mt Cook, Inland route . Akaroa, Hamner Springs, Blenheim. Autumn was great weather last year. Plan to take in March Hare first weekend March at Wiamate Cheers Toddy

    Count me in paul, the ride this sunday was enough to make me realise i have alot more of nz to see (even if i was heading to a right gravelling)
    I could try to help in any way i can, but i dont know the south island too well. but i could help with electronically distributing data to all attending maybe? Let me know

    sounds like something...... duno bout the catlins tho shingle and all that, a lot of riders may be put off................... but a stop at the March hair would be great specially for those that havent done the rally thing before.
