I left work at 8. I think I may have missed the start.
At least it wasn't raining.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
And I couldn't come even if it was the most beautiful evening on record, just made it less hard to feel annoyed about being sick on a Wednesday evening when it's hailing!!![]()

How many people turned up?
Where did you all go...?
Yep, it hailed in Welly too and luckily I was still at work (- or maybe that was unlucky - never mind...).
Thanks Sels1: for txtg the final venue. I got to the Sandbar about five minutes after everyone had left

I got to the duck pond at six and hung around for a while but no-one showed, so I went home feeling like nobby no-mates :-(.

I was there at 5:30 practicing my figure 8s. What a ride, first time over that hill and it was wet and slippery![]()
I came up to the Avalon turnoff from the North just as the group came through the lights heading North on the other side of the carriageway. By the time I spun around and then sat waiting for the light sequence to change again, they were out of sight.
Came up to the Hayward lights not knowing which way they had headed.Black clouds over Haywards, blue skies over the Takas. Quick decision and headed after them up to the Takas :slap: By the time I had got half way up the hill, the skies had turned black and the rain was pouring. It all happened so fast I didn't even have time to stop and put the wet weather gear on.
Spun around and headed back down, along SH2, over Haywards, around Greys Rd and out to the Sandbar where by then, I looked like a drowned rat.The leathers were actually dripping and the boots were full of water.
The ride home was not pleasant purely because I was soaking wet and cold. I actually pulled off the motorway at Porirua so I could travel along Kenaparu at a slower speed to cut down on the wind chill factor.
It's the first time I have ever thought 'what the hell am I doing out riding this thing in these conditions for!'
See you all next week!
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker
We came, We listened, And in one voice we answered
