I'd be keen for weekend riding as long as it doesnt fall on a dirt biking weekend.

FYI... We are organising a 250 cc ride this Sunday - 8/3 departing at 10am. read onward from this post:
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...3390&p=1960040

These rides are ad-hoc and intended for 250 or slow riders (and I mean slow - ie. like me).

G*d I hope my wife has at least a couple of Wednesday nights off between now and then. I've done the last three and enjoy them more each time. would it be possible for people (like myself) to be paired up an experienced rider on a similar style machine to follow for learning lines? Wednesday night rides weem ideal for such an opportunity.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.

I'm out of the Wednesday night ride for a while...

Too much riding is bad for my bank ballance...

Over the last 3 weeks i have taken every oportunity to extend my trip to work by 10 or so more km's (upper hutt to willis street - via ride round the bays ) and same thing on the way home (willis street to upper hutt - via porirua, past plimerton out to Paikok and back over pikok hill to haywards and home)...

So much so that i have had to fill up every 2 days excluding extra long rides on the weekends...... petrol bill last week came to $120 all up... thats 2 weeks worth of driving my 4x4 in to town every day...

Also had Service done that was $360

So i am extra broke at the moment. So will be switching to wife's GN250 for a month or 2 till my bank ballance recovers.

Know what you mean! We're in for a $600 fuel week at the end of this month (SCRR = 5,500 Kms), which will also lead to a new set of tyres at $650+ and a service....

...but inclusion of East Cape, The Rotomas, Paraparas, Awakino Gorge, Mangamukas, Kaikoura Coast&Hunderlees, Catlins, Haast Pass, Buller Gorge,....oh Happy happy Joy Joy!!!

    Good ride

A good ride and excellent weather. I counted 43 motorcycles at the lookout. Good to see new faces.

Great to back on the ride and a nice night for it.
I didn't expect the first detour off the motorway. Awesome to see all those new faces.

Hope to make it to a few more now I am mobile again!
