I wish someone would invent some rubber mounts! The Mrs has had a few minor topples... They are starting to know me by name at Wgtn M/C. Which indicator would you like this time Mr Douglas?

That's the thing. To look at the bike there is absolutely no damage whatsoever. However it must have landed hard on the throttle, which now has about a quarter turn before there's any engine response. I don't really want to ride it like that, so it's off to see a professional.

Westerly winds are expected to reach severe gale at times today about exposed parts of Wairarapa and southern Hawkes Bay, with gusts of 120km/hr.

Winds of this strength can cause damage to trees, powerlines and insecure roofs,and also make driving difficult especially for motorcycles and high-sided vehicles such as trucks and campervans.

Forecasters expect the winds to ease tonight.

FORECAST:

Westerly winds are expected to reach severe gale at times today about exposed parts of Hawkes Bay south of Hastings and Wairarapa, with gusts of 120 km/h at times. This includes the summit of the Rimutaka Hill road. Winds are expected to ease from about 9pm this evening (Wednesday).
