Good ride tonight and a pretty good turn out concidering the weather. We ended up going to Featherston for the usual light refreshment and a bite to eat. Bit breezie on the hill but overall not too bad.You just have to ride faster than the wind thats all...

Awesome ride. Never did the takas at night or with so much wind. Sorry for holding everyone upI lost my confidence pretty fast after a gust of wind almost tipped me over.

I thought the wind was good. Only the very last corner before the top on the way over had abit of a gust but the rest of the way was fine.
First time Ive done it on the new seal. Road is practially perfect on the Wellington side now.

Ride was prety good. on the way over was rideing behind my wife on the GN250 just to make sure she was ok... she lost her confidence at the top and decided to ride back.. hopefully next week weather will be better and she might ride all the way over.
I rode down the other side trying to catch up with the rest of the gang,
past the big red truck and managed to catch up to mr speed triple (dont know your nickname).
I lent my bike over so much on the courners and I have worked out that my tyres are crap... they keeped sliding out. most of the time it was my front tyre sliding towards the center line as its a shity brand and my rear is a michiline medium compund i think but it still faled me on a few courners on the new seal on the welly side.
Riding back in the dark was a bit heary passed a bunch of you and then i was all alone in the dark.
All up it was an awesone 2nd time over the hill in the last 3 years.
Was good to get to know some of your guys and hope to see you next week.
PS.. i passed some one on the way back to the top in the dark riding a red bike not sure who it was... but you had some nice spark action going on, on about 3 right hand courners... you must have been giving it heaps on those courners...
