    The Nod

Ok so do bikers do this? when we used to drive the pick up trucks we used to nod or flash lights, when I was in the Old school VDub gang we used to nod, flash or even stop in the middle of the road to look at each others Dubs.

but.... do bikers nod or is this my imagination and something to do with bumps in the road. I thought I saw two people do it but then when I did it to two people they just blankly looked at me....

I don't mind the nod but I don't want to look like a nob, if this isn't done back

Omigod. It's a "waving with your head" thread.

You can tell that someone has a blank look on their face while they have a helmet on and are moving?

Ride faster. The movement of air above 140 makes your helmet move more making the 'nod' more pronounced at speed.

We won't be able to nod or wave soon... they might lock us up for being in a "gang".

yes, bikers wave to each other, nodding is also common practice. just don't waste your time waving to a postie

Most bikers either nod or wave. I do either.... depends where I am, traffic, coditions ect....
its just a sign to say hi to fellow riders.
If they dont nod or wave back. Who gives a rat ass. it shows that they are a prat or mabe they are worried about letting go of the handle.
If I get a wave back or a nod I allways feel much better.
BUT if you see them waving with both arms and nodding at the same time while riding.... Its a good sign they have a bee in their helmet
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.

Worked out the problem - you ride a ho'bag.

Sorry guy - you aint going to get any respect - unless you are waving at other hyoshit owners.

I have one of those little toy dogs with a spring-loaded head.
There is a car accessory shop in the bottom of town that sells them.

Just mount that on the front of your bike and all the nodding that you ever need is proveded without any effort!

Well, the lad deserves credit for 1) a new name for a waving thread and 2) getting on to the topic on only his 16th post.
