i will be going with my twin 16 year old boys i will double one and the other will ride the vtr250 of doom, hopefully they wont get shitfaced like last year

Thanks SDU but I'm planning to leave from Dunedin with my sis on the Friday morning. My crossing from Wellington is on the 3rd and depending on the weather etc I hoping just to keep riding as far as Oamaru that day.

Could be a plan - I'm not sure what route my sis wants to take and if we're riding up with anyone else. Her and I are both on 250's so I wouldn't expect you to accompany us, cos we'll just be tootling.

Nothing wrong with taking a 250 up. Nighthawk will be travelling with one anyway.

Yeah, I've done some kms round the mainland before on my trusty ole girl so that's all good. I'll sort it closer to the time, I kinda want to go with whatever my sis has organised.
