Well, where do I begin?
From all the times that I've needed a quick repair job, plastic welds done, *cough* help with oil changes, needed to be picked up from crashes / punctures from out in the boonies, the riding tips ive been taught, Logan aka Kwaka-Kid has always been there for me. But last night pretty much tops it off...
The day started off with me and my girlfriend cruising over to repco and buying a head unit for her new car. Having never put a head unit in before, I thought pfft, how hard can it be right? Unplug the other one, plug the new one in, and voila, piece of cake.
WRONG.
Well, stupidly i couldnt even get the dash part around the head unit off, so once again, I speed dial logan off the celly - I had a feeling he was riding home from work, but he usually picks up if i try 2 or 3 times. Sure enough
Logan : "Hey bro, wahsup! Im trying to ride home!"
Shade : "Hey man! Gotta problem, trying to put a head deck in... help?"
Logan : "Sweet, half way there, be there soon!"
No hesitation or anything.
We both start getting into removing the old head deck, and soon his worst thoughts come true - wrong plugs at the back which mean cutting and joining wires. It should really be a day job he says.
With no Multimeter, wire strippers, and sunlight fading, he begins to try and figure out which wire goes where. I accidentally electrocuted him at this point (Sorry bro). 3 hours later, i'm the official torch holder (tm), and hes got it all done.
He doesnt even let me take us out for dinner, instead its off to check up with 6chris6 and chat about the new bike hes just got, etc etc.
Just wanted to say thanks heaps man. For everything. Your an awesome mate, and im sure heaps on here would agree the amount of selfless work is astounding.
Thanks bro.
