It means I went for a ride by myself. Headed out to Kawakawa Bay, sat on the breakwater for a little while watching all the juvenile fishies by the rocks trying to swim against the current. Then headed over the hill - peeps please note that there's a nasty patch of melted tar on one of the bends so take it easy if you're heading over that way. Saw two BMW riders at the side of the road consulting a map - waved as I went passed - got stony look in return. Ah well. Continued on towards Kaiaua. BMW riders overtook me - still no acknowledgement. Carried on my merry way. At Kaiau noticed BMW riders again getting directions from someone, found extra burst of speed as I blatted passed them. Did big fart as well so hopefully they got a good whiff of it!!! (Note to self, must get air horns fitted to next bike for the benefit of pillocks like these). Happy happy joy joy demeanour as I continued my ride, dulled a bit when got onto SH2 and came across roadworks just before The Castle and traffic reduced to one lane. Waited... and waited... and waited..... and waited. After 50 cars and trucks had gone through, we were finally able to move again. Felt refreshed after my little snooze across the tank, so overtook everyone and then turned off towards Hunua. Headwind struck and I was reduced to doing 90kph with throttle fully rung out - wheeeee! Got through most of the gorge before encountering 4wd and horsefloat, so at least I got to have a little play.
Got back to find Papakura CBD evacuated.... You can all stop worrying now that it had something to do with me....

    Ah bugger!
Actually gave work a miss and travelled up to meet you guys... when nobody turned up by 20 2 11, thought something like this may have happened.

Anyways, had a great trip down SH22 (by myself )
seemed to be a lot move gravel scattered around than 2 weeks ago - MR may want to do some recon before the newbe ride...

Met a few bikes, all waved (even the 3 bmw's!)

Oh well catch up maybe next time
...and I don't wanna die, just want to ride my motorcy...cle (Arlo Guthrie)

will just ask FF, he knows all 186 potholes and will no doubt have added all the gravel patches to his virtual map.

hey Sue, we did ride today, as I explained to you in my pm this am, we did part of 22 down to Hetherington Rd onto rotowaro, huntly, down the western side of the river to Ngaruawahia, onto Whatawhata onto 39 and down to Kawhia for num nums, and back again, shit the old tar geting soft on the devi out of Kawhia, heaps of Hp on 39 I think we saw about 5-6 between Kawhia turn off and Whatawhata, saw a Harley something or other pulled up north bound just out of Pirongia, sorry we missed you bane, checked for txts b4 I left and when I got back, maybe next time...

Oopsie, missed this post by RR somehow.

I can vouch for the fact that she's a bit of a hoon alright. All she needs is a faster bike now. Even TS didn't get his knee down on the mighty rebel so that says something about the bike right?

Yes I NEED a faster bike! Not long now.... Although finances aren't looking likely for the Duc now
Actually I don't think it is physically possible to get knee down on the Rebel. But bless her, she looks so pretty and sparkly sitting outside in the sunshine after her bath!

Let's just say it was great watching your 4X4 fly into those 35k and 25k corners through the twisties.
