Street Magic motor rebuild?

anyone done one themselves? called scootling and got some parts prices and lookin at the possibility of going up in the cc's but will this have any negative effects on the reliability of the rest of the bike? i ride it every day to work and have a few hills so the extra grunt will be good but i cant afford to have it off the road fixin bits all the time. its got 16000km so im not sure of its history and what bits i need to replace. any ideas?
