Superbike dude, I think you have already made your mind up. It'll cost you more (as you prob know) but if you feel more comfortable on the bigger bike it makes sense.
Tell ya what mate.........you decide which one ya want to compete on and I'll ride your other bike for absolutely no charge whatsoever..........hows that for a deal?![]()
Im not sure it will cost all that much more to be honest...? Im not trying to challenge the big boys and the area of the field im aiming at the bike will be able to do the job in its current state so to be honest the only thing i can see is tyres and slicks are cheaper then sp tyres and the 10 doesnt eat them any faster then the 600 (at the moment)

Something you may like to consider is which way do you learn best?? Are you somebody that learns incrementally, taking a step at a time and building on your previous experience. Or are you someone that learns best by getting thrown in the deep end with the sharks.

Yo Choppa dude.
IMO you can ride the SBK. You have the ability. But it needs to be approached in the right manner.
IMO riding an SBK is not just a big laff as some seem to imply, it is pretty serious stuff.
Even though it sounds like it is a Kawasaki, hopefully this new bike with be easier to ride than the last ones. Sounds like it might be.
Set up is critical on any bike, but crucial on the SBK lest it get out of shape quickly.
You will need HEAPS of testing. Get down to SI in Nov/Dec. Do laps.
(Find out about how much testing and practice Dennis Charlett did last year).
Tyres are better than SSP as they are racing slicks not road tyres (even though the roadies get better all the time).
Not as much traffic in SBK, but talent is the pinnicle.
The more good riders in SBK the better. Even if you are not at the pointy end, you are a good rider so you will not look silly as long as the machine does not make you look silly.
Also, you need a TEAM around you. SBK cannot be done right by yourself or without knowledgable people around you, all the time. In SSP you can maybe scrape by, but even there, probably not.
Good luck
