Putting in manawatu on the front of the threads

Can I be terribly impolite by mentioning something on-topic for a moment?

It'd be nice if whoever moved the Ride threads (or whoever arranged for a mod to move the Ride threads) could undertake to restore their "Manawatu" prefixes so you can correctly find them within the Meetings & Events forum.

That is all. We now return you to your regular unscheduled blather.

Edit: just a note that about 30mins after I posted this (elsewhere) the issue was addressed satisfactorily. See further downthread however for a related suggestion from MadDuck that I think is worth of further consideration.

    Indeed, they don't.

    Thread titles

Kind of along the same lines as Horse.

Is it possible to maybe put some prefix to threads from Social Groups? They appear on the front page as latest posts and it can be a bit deceptive.

For example a thread titled "Other Local Stuff" or "Whats it all for" give a user no indication that they are about to be thrown into the EMU and Manawatu drivel posts. If they had say MSG (Manawatu Social Group) at the beginning then I (personally) know that I will not bother reading that particular thread and wont waste my time.

    Just a thought.

Frankly that's a great idea. Or exempt them from the "new posts" display - but someone will probably whinge about that.
