    Superbike or supersport?

    What do you guys reckon!?

I have the oppertunity to ride either a superbike or supersport bike for this years nationals, I have been racing nearly a year on the road but i have plenty of motox experience behind me, im a feely big guy so that puts me at more of a disadvantage on a 600 and a thou but more noticable on the smaller bike.

Both bikes are all setup and ready to go-ish, i have had a few tests on the 10 and i would actually rather ride the 10 but ive heard from a few people that its not such a good idea to go up to soon....? To be honest im leaning toward the bigger bike because i feel safe on it and it suits my style, im gonna race it at manfield to see what its really like though

Oh and i can only afford to ride one or the other!

    go the superbike bro!
if you feel good on it, go for it. you have the background in mx to be able to handle the antics of a '10.
obviously itll eat more rear tyres, but you will be aware of that, and probabley dont care. it is the premiere class...so do it!
its gotta be more fun than a 600cc too!

Have seen many v.good riders over the years move up to a big bike and then struggle through the nats. Then the next year they go back to a 600 and dominate.
    Nice choice to have tho!

If you can afford to and or have the backing to race Superbikes (and you are not a doozy - which I suspect you are not!) then do that. There is a lack of good bikes/good riders in Superbikes and so purely from a spectator point of view (not caring about your personal development as a rider) I would say ride with the big boys.

and that should be fairly good or even feely good for us all...

Go for the thou. If you don't step up when the opportunity comes up you may not get another chance.

cool i like what im reading! cheers guys, the 10 is only going to be a modest superbike at this stage but it is the latest model so we have more then just this year to race it and develop it when funds are available also this is my first time racing the nationals so it will all be a learning experience! If i can get in a battle with the guys racing on a similar budget then thats where i wanna be!
