you met KBers in the strangest places!!

    What a day I’ve had!

Luke and I want on a ride to the big smoke of Hamilton, and on to “Candy Land!”
We took the long way, but by the time we found the place, there was a motorcyclist, just about leaving... it was a fellow KBer!......

But as he had no stickers on the bike, how was I suppose to know? But I gave him a polite nod of the head…
I pulled up and got off the bike just to turn around to see him walking in my direction…..WTF???

Till he introduced himself as “jrandom” what a funny place to met a fellow KBer!
    Out side a sweet shop!
In my younger days it would have been a pub!...what is the world coming to?

But he seams a nice guy!

The candy land place is a bit addictive….. chocolate gggrrrruuu (sound of homer Simpson drooling)

Txted Quasi… for a coffee.. he was still at work, suppose earning a couple of $$ for the new race bike?

Never mind… off we went, just a slowish ride home …Yer right..

But there were so many road works!!! Very frustrating …

Over the kaimi’s… dam road works….. grrrr

But an interesting thing happened when I got to the last over taking area… I had caught up to a red Ute… nothing out of the ordinary…. Or was it?

As I over took it, the guy waved..??? so I waved back , thinking who the hell know me here?, my cover was blown…..

Just coming into the 70k zone, panic attack……. I suddenly realised that my jacket pockets were fully unzipped! Both of them… one used to have my wallet, the other my cell. Ph………. NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
I thought NOOOOooooooooooooo … any way, as I was thinking that I had pulled over… ( not a good thing to panic on the bike) suddenly a red Ute appeared in my mirror…WTF.. I thought it was a cop!!!!!!! I'm sure I hadn’t sped THAT much!
But no he wasn’t in uniform…….. what was up, was he going to tell me that I dropped my ph. Just down the road….no it was a fellow KBer!...”What”….
But I was still panicking about the wallet/ cell ph. … couldn’t do anything about the ph….. but about the wallet, I need gas to get home….. I checked the glove compartment….. yep I have one on the turbo..(2 actually!)
There was my wallet!! I can get home… had a very brief chat with “what” still looking for a place for me to live… (hint hint every one)

Into the gas station… Luke suddenly said that the ph MAY be in his bag… it WAS.. life can now go on!!!!

It was funny where you met and how you met fellow KBer’s!

Shit ride because of the road works….. just under 300ks…round trip
noticed that raglan was less than 200k from home……..

KB'ers are everywhere, it's only when you look for them that you won't see 'em!

Either that, or all you had to do was yell two words at the top of your lungs:

Great story Andy...I will make no comment about jrandom in a sweet shop though (oops just did)

Was sitting here the other night in the peaceful part of the country and heard the familiar sound of a motorbike. Being the nosey ole bat I am I saw the neighbour (just moved in) putting his bike in his shed.

Now am trying to decide whether to go over and introduce myself (donning KB shirt). I guess it would be different if I was a bloke but how would the missus take it from you guys if a biker girl from next door knocked on the door to say gidday?????

    Cool

MadDuck.... just go and start ya bike up right out the front of your place so that he can see ya... especially when he is outside mowing the lawns... or you could clean it etc.... and as he looks up, ya wave to him... and from there a conversation should start....

hmmm you both aint seen my dirveway. I am just relieved to get to the bottom in one piece. Cleaning at the bottom is outta the question and if I take the wrong line heading down I guess I will meet him and his family in his lounge

Maybe the boys can show me how to smoke the tyres and wheelie up the road ...that might work!
