Yup, I'm looking forward to seeing a naked version too. Just imagine how many balls that'd have, especially if it's light and easy to throw around

    Pricing speculation

The site where I grabbed the pics says:
Pricing isn’t likely to be for the faint of heart – expect to pay around US$30,000 for the base model, with the Factory version probably being closer to US$40,000!

That would make the base model the equivalent of $43,000NZD. People are speculating that the cost of the base model will be on-par with the 1098S and the factory will on-par with the 1098R.

Maybe its for weight reduction but I can never get my head around a bike that is heavy looking in the front and catwalk-model thin in the arse....... damn fugly. There should be a balance in the styling.
"Front bias" has been the trend with sportbikes for a while and it's getting more and more extreme. It's meant to make them look more aggressive having the bulk of the bike toward the front. Though the opposite is meant to work with choppers, and having the bulk in the centre works for the likes of the MT01 and the Monster.

Fortunately my taste in bikes has stayed around the 2004 era which is more affordable. Though I love this bike since it's a 1000cc V-4, there needs to be more V-4's.

Yes, but I can't understand why the bikes look they could poke your eyes out! They're just going through a bit of an ugly phase and should hopefully grow out of it...

We have ordered one as a demonstrator, it's going to be a L O N G wait. I am reluctant to post NZ prices/timing because things change, but suffice to say these things aren't being built to sit on the shelf.

I like it but I wouldn't buy it, I'd have to go with a Ducati 1098R or MV F4.

It would probably make up for itself in the electronics though.

Don't get me wrong - I think all these bikes are magnificent.
I could totally get off on wringing its neck.
The cautionary tale is that you now have to go to a track to do it and the bust if you don't.

I hear ya. But I doubt I could ride it to its full potential at the track!
Im a poser at heart so sitting with it in the garage staring at it for ages after I've washed it and the occassional first gear pootle to the cafe suits me fine.

An apron and a powder coated dish-rack are available as an optional extra for the lucky little lady.
