    Going to the dark side...

Hello, my name is Al and I have a problem...

After riding a KTM 690 SM (see here http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=80850), it's been a struggle to ride the DRZ. It's fine for commuting to work and back but I can't get myself to take it out on the open road any more....

I fear I have succumbed to the need for more power.... And a six speed box...

    Hi Al...

The first step is admitting that you've put a deposit down on your new bike.

Then you must accept that your Suzuki is not part of the life that you want to lead anymore.

After that, it's just one sweet ride at a time!

Is it enough to admit I've got finance on the 'new' (second hand) bike?

As for the DRZ, we'll see how things pan out, lol...

...and the Leo Vince pipes will go a long way to make it look, um, different to how they look stock.

    Is that diplomatic?

    Very diplomatic indeed, lol...

To be honest, before I saw one in the flesh, I thought they were really ugly. I still do to some extent. In the flesh they are actually quite a nice machine...

At least it'll match my other twin pipe machine now, lol...

Why, do you own a steamboat?

Just kidding, I actually think it's a great looking bike apart from the pipes. Some have a little fun with the "spy vs spy" front, but I like it.

When do you pick it up?

With any luck, Friday will be the day.... I'll probably fly there and ride the 450k's home... So I'm keeping an eye on the weather...

Other bike is a wheel barrow...

    Looking good for tomorrow.....

The Spy vs Spy bike with truck twin-stack pipes will hopefully be a good-un (touch wood)...

What part of the world are you in? Will you be christening it on Saturday?

Don't know. Just saw them and thought I'd post...

I'll probably look into it more with time, considering I'm only picking it up today, lol....

But, the single pipe does look appealing...
