Now that's intimidating when you're on your cheap Ducati with nothing more than a riesling in a champagne flute because your last hock glass fell off the tank and smashed earlier in the day.

Every part of the country's different I guess...

Hmmm at the moment I have two rather drunken darker skinned men in my street talking (aka shouting) about how much bigger a "black" one is and giving it to a white thing.

Time to move again I think.

No reason, just stared at(you know your being watched right) you look back and a car full of nig.....um tanned persons glaring at you and won't budge their gaze, as if theyr'e waiting for you to react to thereby authorise a retaliation of epic preportions.......correct? no? whats the fucken problem? Sure Iv'e had this happen before, but not everyday. I'm not doing anything different, not being particularly threatening or offensive, can someone explain this idiotic shit to me?
I find this kind of stereotyping of people short sighted and rather boring – however you have highlighted a real issue, and not just for south Auckland; Being intimidated and stared down by groups you described as from the ‘tanned variety (black/whatever)’.

I wonder if there’s a real threat or it’s mostly imagined due to our insecurities and distrust of another culture - and our reaction only encourages them to do it more.
Mind you I don’t want to find out

Some marginalised people do actually feel like they have little control over their own destiny and future (wrongly or rightly) – and resent the control others can exercise over them, like; public servants, teachers, doctors, politicians, police have been predominately white middle class people who live in places like Whenuapai. So I guess it’s a buss for them to be able to intimidate us so easily and exercise some form of control over us.

    Just musing

And by the way – I don’t think you’d know a real nig…. If you fell over one
And skinny ugly ginga males in hoodies intimidate and give me the shits, That’s why I avoid the South Island.

I know you are just musing but picture this.

You are a pale face white chick living alone and new neighbours move in. They are in the street as drunk as yelling profanaties and talking about the size of their dicks.

And this used to be such a nice neighbourhood.
