2009 Suzuki SFV650 Gladius

Suzuki are about to release a new bike

Powered by the SV650’s v-twin, the Gladius looks fresh and funky. The spec looks fairly basic – steel tube trellis frame, conventional fork/monoshock and… well, not much else really.

The bike is expected to weigh in at around 202kg dry and the performance is definitely not going to surprise anyone.

I think that it's going to run beside the SV models. Guess it's designed for beginners, or perhaps the lady riders, as it's got a lower seat height.

Could always be another prototype that doesn't get released. It's not as if Suzuki doesn't have enough models in this market space.

A bit porky. My Hornet 900 is 194kg, surley they could have kept it in the low 190's.

Its got a Honda muffler too, so that will make it faster

Looks like sound urban transport with recreational potential to me. Gross weight is less important than the COG.

I'll stay with the SVS - at 168kg........plus my fat arse of course......

yeah..... I see alot of used GSR 600's for sale recently..... I wonder if there is a reason for that?
