Thread: 2009 Suzuki SFV650 Gladius

    Incidentally. I saw one "in the flesh" for the first time the other day..... the black and.... er umm... "green"? one. I was suprised at how cool it actually looks in real life compared to how "femenine" it looks in the pics. I actually thought it was the new Kwaka ER 600 at first. Looks very similar.

    hahahaha.... I wasn't enamoured immediately with this bike. It grew on me, and, once I rode one, I was sold.
    Im still not so sure about the black/green colour combo. Love the all black one. Love the traditional Suzuki white/blue..... hey, blue is a boys colour!..... isn't it?

    Can I ask why you'd pick a gladius over a SV650? Just curious They are about the same price I think.

    I wanted to buy new. A naked bike. The only new SV I could find were the S version, the more bent over riding position, and with a little too much plastic fareing.
    I got my SFV brand new for $11,995. The SV's were a tad more from memory.
    Also, it is claimed that the Gladius is the updated SV engine, with approximately 10% more power. Not that made any difference to me.

    yep the 2011 model is great handles like dream and as Ive stated before the best bike ive ever had the pleasurer to ride in the Canterbury norwesters however the short front fender hard seat are the bad points for me but im working on those
