There's a really nice White & Cream leather Joe Rocket jacket at wgtn motorcycles.... otherwise

Buy a white bike, i did...... white is good. Then go buy heaps of black gear + a mirror'd visor so you can be bad ass & intimidate those cagers.

Black is the colour you first see as a bike approches you from a distance.
Black also presents the person wearing it as being bigger than they are, thus ideal for imtimidating stupid cage drivers.
You will get arguments against what I have said, and thats OK.
    We all have our opinions.

BYW this topic is another "why wear black" thread, but thats ok
This is true... and since black is also a threatening colour... it registers and people see it quicker

I just wasted a day looking for a new jacket in wellington/hutt valley and it was either black, fuckin ugly or no better at protecting the wearer than a polar fleece.

Anyone have any suggestions in how to find something that doesn't make me look like a wannabe ninja?
Confirm your size and brand. Google motorcycle jacket (and clearance) and you should be able to get just about anything yo want from the US for about a third the NZ price. Mostly same products and you can always on sell.

I thort that google said somewhere that motorcyclists were only considered threatening when the were a HP patrol type bike or someone wearing a patch. The rest were invisible.

I've got a red Quasimoto jacket. It's not the same red as my bike so it doesn't actually match and is therefore not gay!
