Boy Racer thinks he's Senna, Hilarity ensues

    Quick atmosphere setting:
The serenity of the road I live on (as well as VTWIN) is quite often broken by wanky boy racers starting at one end, and accelerating all the way to the other. Or, if thats not the case, handbrake slides up and down the road at midnight. And if you go outside to just LOOK whats happening, they get all aggro (one time said boy racer tried to start a fight, he was DEF. on "p" or the likes)

Anyway... I was getting out of the shower, and I hear a car accelerate to what I'd imagine was about 100, or just over. Now if these children had any skill, or if the road was straight it wouldn't be a problem. The road has a medium bend in it, which is what catches them. A while ago one messed it up and skidded for about 50m, mounted the kerb and took out a gate. THIS time, after it reached it's speed, the car entered the corner, locked up the wheels, lost control and spun onto the opposite side of the road using a tree or another parked car as an instant stop mechanism. Car totaled, 1 fire engine, 4 cop cars and an ambulance. Dad spoke to the cop, who said they knew about the continous abuse of this road, and it was a pity the child hadn't done himself more damage to teach him a lesson. I guess his daddy is going to pay for the damage, so he can drive again, in his car that goes vroooom - psssht.

When I went past I just looked at them and shook my head

You should've offered to 'store' his car for free, and ripped off his mags to buy a new set of leathers
    Because I can...

Similar here but it's hard right 90, hard left 180, hard right 120, hard left 120, long straight. All downhill. If the corners were on an open road speed limit hill they'd be marked 25-35kmh.

Three prangs in the last two years.

    Huh?

hehe, just being annoying. I hate it when you're at home, TRYING to relax but you can't from the constant wondering of "who's going to get high/drunk and start doing donuts"

Hell, there's only one problem house, and about two houses with boy racers in them. 3 bad apples I wish they'd all meet simultaneously, in one big spectacular handbrake sliding, 100km head on, drug/alcohol fuelled collision! I'd pay to see that!

I meant open road hill as opposed to a suburban street...
They all are just passing through here.

Just give them some booze and drugs then! Free show! Oh, and tell them that they will get a "Level 3 Engine Upgrade" and a chance to get on the cover of your magazine if they do some tricks. Silly NFS fiends.

Now i gonna have to be a little honest, i dont have much problems with boy racers.........but i hate having fuckn morons on the road.
Whether they just drive above their abillities, drive while doing 10 things at once (fuckn office bogans), drive stoned, drive drunk.....or drive while under the influence with a big ego.
At the end of the day they all suck shit.
You have to realise that the stereotype of a boy-racer is the same as a harley rider, overdone and abused. Most 'guys-with-good-cars' generally have little money (to replace the car), so dont try and wreck the good things they have.
But Boy-Ricers, who think 'bling' is a noun. They are just rich mommas boys, who suck cock. Scary thing is alot of these mommas boys are spilling onto the bike scene (look at the states).

These guys piss me off too.

I live off Martin Street, Wallaceville, and Martin Street is about 1.5km's long and dead straight. Cars regularly hit over 160 on this road on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, and unfortunately the cops don't get there before they've gone.

Funny though, Alexander Road in Upper Hutt (where GM carpark where they hold the bucket racing is situated) would be a much better road but I guess because there's a few corners they avoid it. Alex Rd is where I test my bike after any work.

They seem to be able to go fast, but none can take corners. Or is it that they are trying to drift around them?

Anyway, idiots doing 160 in a 50 zone full of kids are gonna cause some damage one day...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

we need to form a rebellion, or vote someone into becoming 'renegade' on a haybusa, with mounted 7.62cal machine guns.

sorry I just have nothing better to say about the pricks.

    I agree

I don't really have a problem with people with flash cars who are into modifying them. Car enthusiasts are all good.

As you said, it's the one's who routinely endanger themselves and others.
Hmm, says I who "hooned" it over the Takas today...

    Oh well, whatever I guess

Go have a look down Alexander road, at the curve by the gun club. Two big skid marks leading into a well positioned lamp post, and they took out a small tree as well. Apparently sometime last week a guy found his cornering limit.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
