    800kms in a day ride October 4

Central Districts Motorcycle Touring Club Inc has an 800kms big block ride on October 4 2008. Good preparation for anyone doing the 1000 miler a few weeks later.

Meet at Breakers carpark, 180 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North from 7am to 8am.

Speedo will be noted upon departure. Route is checked by petrol station receipts. Speedo will be rechecked at the end of the ride.

A ride, a badge, a pint and an evening meal at 5.30pm, all for the princely sum of $30.

Are you and your mates up to it?

If you need more information, please phone club president Andrew Pugh on 06-354-4564 or 0274-463-870.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

I missed out on the ride due to a damn persistent cold but the Blue Bandito made it. Here's his write-up: http://banditrider.blogspot.com/2008...ks-in-day.html

Nice write-up and a good average speed considering the distance covered with 4-5 stops, thats if you include the leak?...

That would be including every stop but he didn't speed excessively (whatever that means ). Still annoyed that I couldn't make it but really chaffing at the bit for the GC.
