At the risk of sounding like a total loser (considering I have been in Ak for 4 years) ... what is the coro loop and how long does it take? Hope you won't mind a tag along to find out a new ride!

Im definitely keen for a ride, but have a lot of work to do for Monday.

The coro loop is a ride around the coromandel peninsula starting about Kopu (after the long one lane bridge) it usually heads up towards coromandel town and then across and over to Whitianga then down to Tairua and from there one can either start heading back to Auckland over Kopu hill, or continue over to Whangamata and down the coast even more towards Tauranga, then finally back up to Aucks.

The shorter version usually would take anywhere between 3 and 6 hours depending on stops. It's quite a few k's!

An SMC ride of the coro would look towards the 5-6 hour mark.

Sweet thanks for that! I had a feeling it as going to be heading to coromandel pen. Well hopefully I will get through enough work over next two days to be able to come!

hate is a powerful word and is not the kind of thing that should be thrown around so carelessly

hehe banzai, i wont be coming to the concerto coz of uni related shit, but that means i also wont be able to make the ride so i sorta know how you feel!! it sucks when silly things get between you, your bike and a long and open road

well if stevo's going, he's usually the leader of the noob train and is a good person to learn lines and speeds etc from so it might be a good idea to stick with him.....IF he's going of course....the rest of the riders are a bit too.......heavy wristed

i can see kyle overtaking the fast crew in his attempts to "learn how to corner properly whilst leading the slow pack"

I doubt Stephen is going, for the same reasons as myself.

Edit: Actually, I might be able to come, depending on what time we're getting back. Are we doing the full or half Coro? I'd be inclined towards the half Coro considering the number of learner riders who're coming on the ride.

I would be up to see what its all about but unfortunately I work on fri nights.

As for the ride length, I'll be taking the shorter option or heading home earlier. A 6+ hour ride with pillion will end up hurting big-time.

Yeah pays to warn them if you're going to pull a stoppie.

On a more serious note, looks like I'm coming! Now let us see what the weather is looking like...
