Thanks for that report man. It was a horrific thing to see happen and I'm blown away by your attitude and perspective. My wife was at the track properly for the first time and her thoughts mirror your partners'. We are lucky men.
I hope Jason heals well and quickly.

Hey man didnt realise that was you on saturday, especially after seeing you walking around on sunday ,glad to hear that evryone is ok (sort of) that accident was real scary to see.I think the bravest people at the track are our loved ones, they have to watch as we do silly things and pick up the peices when it goes pear shaped so best wishs to you and youre family and everyone else involved, hope to see you all at the track sooner rather than later.

If anything good can come out of an incident like that, it was noticing for the rest of the day AND Sunday that people stayed back off the pit wall for the starts and we didn't have to ask. That cartwheeling bike of yours had some serious momentum, it showed the dangers to spectators as well.

LOL, did the bike by halves!! Snapped in half just back from the steering head.

Thanks all, Very happy with the VMCC for how well all worked out after the incident.

I wouldn't mind some more detail on the operation of the starting lights, as my understanding has it that if the start is canned, the lights go out, which is a red flag to 40 bulls, 5000 horsepower, 8 tonne of mean fighting machines

Or a big can of worms...

    One note to self,

Jump start penalty is what, 20 seconds?? Try and make the 3 you get give the best advantage!!

I heard someone saying something about orange lights coming up on a start to indicate a stop in the start procedure...?

They are normally used to indicate a false start, all that should be covered at riders briefing

Actually yellow. But as it was pointed out, the timing is very tight. Heal up well please. Does not sound good for the guy with the shattered leg at this stage. As we get to know more will keep ya posted.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is a row of greens and a row of reds,
When I am watching the lights as soon as that red is out, I am off, and I ain't looking at the lights no more, I am looking for clear track. (failed miserably this time albeit!!)
