    Hi ALL! (dblancer)

    Hi All

    Newbie Biker in Dunedin!
Getting my handling cert soon hopefully and then knocking into the licence.

Looking very keenly at older late 88-89's Kawasaki GPX 250's for my first bike at the moment. Since my budget is no more than about 3K they seem to be falling into this bracket easily

I read a couple of reviews about GPX/Ninja and apparently a very good learners bike. Very common for parts and cheap to fix. Perfect!

I see alot of 250 CBR Honda's in dunners, but way too expensive for me.

Love the look of em two, very hot in black/red
Im a student and already own a car, but want something fun and fast for summer!

I have a '88 GPX, it's great and I'm about to test how easy it is to find parts.

Any particular bugbears that exist with these?

Haven't so much as sat on one yet. Sounds like ill have to do a long journey to get one.

    Whats wrong with yours?

    Yay another dunedin rider!
Good like with the bike hunt!
I know lots of people say 2 strokes aren't good for learners and maybe they aren't but I learnt to ride on mine and Im not dead or crashed. I think its how you ride something.
I got my RGV for a little over 2g, so that might be good if you can find one (and are mechanically minded they have a habit of breaking down!)
