Well I was pretty amped for this round and felt quite relaxed,
I had had my Ohlins in between rounds have a new end eye on it to raise the back end to help the bike turn in fasterand my emulator springs set.
Friday afternoon after work finish loading the last of the gear,
Go to bed
Saturday morning 5am start on the road to Manfield we go.
get to track unload the bikes and gear into our pit garage,
once again I would be riding both bikes the SV650 and the Honda RS125.
125GP Qualifying:
Head onto track trying to settle back into the smallness of the bike got about 10 minutes into session and had to pull out because my arms hurt really bad from being cramped up but got enough to qualify me 13th on the grid.
Pro Twin Qual:
Onto track I felt settled in on this bike first time I got to test the Ohlins in the dry I was getting alot of rear end squatting but kept going managed to qualify 19th on the grid so was average about the result was really expecting more but I guess we cant help these things.
Upd the Compression damping 3 clicks in between the sessions and had a watch of some racing mainly watching the lights to work how the starter went so I had a rough guess.
125 GP race 1:
Well I sat thisout as I didnt really feel comfartable doing the full ammount of laps and knew I would tire out and wouldnt be ready for the pro twin race.
pro twin race 1:
Line up on grid get a cracker start as per normal but balled out going into turn 1 and got slow corner exit and ended up losign alot of time on the front guys I really worked hard to make it back and eventually caught up to Tim Baker and had a dice with him until he got me on the last lap.
that was it for saturday so I think I got about 26th overall pretty dissapointed in that as Im normally top 15.
Sunday Wake up after a night in the garage on the floor.
Pro Twin Race 2:
Line up on grid take off line rev limiter second gear rev limiter 3rd gear limter again turns out i cookedmy clutch I tryed pushing for a few laps adjusting the free play but pulled back into the pits rather pissed off and furious....
Luckily Geoff Booth had a spare clutch kit he could sell me so was rather happy with that...
Fixed clutch and decided to gas 125 up for the next race.
125 race 3:
Line up perler start of line no bogging at all was happy as into turn 1 and then the group took off was behind the white and red Energy honda RS for a while but finally got around him and tryed to catch onto William and Luke in front but they were pushing a pace to quick for me so ended up just doing my own thing and coming in 2nd to last.
A couple of quick little wheeleis to end it hahaha.
Pro Twin Race 3:
End up gettign a good astart but once again into turn 1 entry to tight to slower exit speed loose front group force it past about 7 bikes in a row round turn 3 then past a few more down dennis hulme straight.
End up catching up to a group of about 3 a battle with thenm but eventually get past under power down straihgt and start working on getting my rythem right which showed in my lap tiems droppuing a secodn a lap and then before I know it the chequer was out and went down 1 lap to Glen Williams just at the finish line..,..
So I cant wait for round 6
