Question Alpinestars Tech 3 MX Boots (strap problems)

    Hi Guys

Just got a pair of Tech 3 boots and it seems the top strap digs into the back of my leg inside the back of the boot, the slider retention thing seems to go through the side of the boot and sticks out in the back which rubs on my calf.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Logically I would think that the strap would go inside the boot between the layers, but I can't seem to get it in there, it appears to be stitched closed.

I can put up a pic if my explanation is not clear enough.
    Any help appreciated.

all the alpinestars MX boots have a top strap system like that, bit different but makes the boots a bit thinner at the top to give you more feel (that is the crap in the sales guides), never heard of it being a problem tho

do you wear full length socks? this might help

Thanks for the help, I am yet to actually ride in the boots just feels weird from just trying them on, will give it a crack and see how it goes. Can't really see any way around it other than chopping off the end of the strap, which would seem like a dumb thing to do (leaves no room for adjustment for beefcake calf muscles I might build up one day)
