Question Who remembers the Apple IIe?

For all those geeky kids who used to spend their lunchtimes in the Computer Room playing on the Apple IIe and Machintosh's. Enjoy.

Play Apple IIe games on your desktop (without having to download an emulator)

    Brings back memories....

I've just been scouring the net, trying to figure out / locate a game I used to play as a child......... and I finally found it. (The reason why I tripped onto the IIe site)

Below the Root - I will have to download an Emulator and have a play tonight...

Anyone else played it? Just remember playing it for lunch hours on end at school.
For some silly reason I thought I had played it on the Apple IIe but I have now realised that it was on the old C64 (it may have even been a tape drive model ).

Man, the 80's was so cool!

Anyone want a Sinclair Spectrum with the upgrade keyboard? We still have ours. Our daughter last used it when she was 3 and she's 25 now

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

Yep I had that game (on the IIe) and finished it too. Don't remember much except falling out of trees all the time.

Played a shitload of apple games, favs were Aztec, Wolfensteins, Conan, Drool, Ultima 3/4 and Bards Tale.
Dogfight was a lunchtime classic as you could squeeze 8 ppl around the keyboard for some serious button bashing. Probably my first multiplayer experience.

Make that 2 of us! I did have the old 'Tandy' 4-colour version and it worked well!

There are heaps of Dos based games available on the net for free download. Just google 'old dos games' if you want to spend endless hours reminising 'old skool' games.

Got to love the old Sierra series games like:

    Return to Monkey Island
    Leisure Suit Larry
    Kings Quest
    Police Quest

Was that the one with the cat and a dog?? You had to rig a machine up to finish off the level. Make the boot hit a ball, which rolled down a ramp, which knocked over a lever etc.....?

How about Pushover? A fav Amiga game of mine as well as Lotus 3. Gee, I could go all night just talking about Amiga's...........

My first computer counted to 20 if I took my socks off. (22 if you are in the Catlins.)
