Do modern Maori have mental issues?

Been in this position before with an op on my leg that was stuffed up and would have cause major problems and eventually decided I could live without the money when I found where it would come from.

May be OK for you as you obviously could afford it so I'd say you'd be an exception as for every one of you, there are probably another 99 pakeha bludgers out there that would gladly take the cash. I'm Maori and I have a private health plan and don't use ACC at all. Yep I'm probably an exception too. So what does this mean then?

Maybe this is more a "human behaviour" statistical normality that some are trying to label as a race issue, which happens a lot when you are talking about a minority group....especially with the uninformed.

For example, when you hear about some Maori crim on the news, everyone goes "Fucken Maoris'!!". However when some nutcase like that Samurai P freak is on the news, does anyone go "Fucken Europeans!!!" ???

Yeah great process agrue why the deserve it then give it to them despite the fact the land was cleared and built upon by white men after paying for the land - at least in my families case. And the sure as shit arn't paying the old day costs and the owners are not getting their money back.

No I couldn't afford it but I didn't feel right about removing money from where it was really needed, dam concience. I know a few part Maori that hate the land claim idea and the fact that they are considered disadvantaged because they cannot see how the came off that bad, lots that also don't claim to be Maori but a NZ'er too because they don't want to be associated withthe reasons for the special treatment.

Besides in My Own Opinion I consider anyone that claims to be Maori to be racist and sepratist. While I belive you should respect your culture you simply are not Maori anymore - except for a govt decision in around 1986 that let anyone who can get a ticket saying they are from this tribe to be called a Maori. Just like I don't consider myself to be English, Scotish or Irish but a NZ'er. We get rid of this crapola and maybe we reduce the race issue and focus on the actuall problems.

I reckon. I think it's just a plot by the evil Maori Bashers Liberation Front to conquer Maori by interbreeding in an attempt to dilute them away.

However they didn't realise that if you spend too much time around Maoris, you turn into one!! All their deep cover agents stopped checking in and were later found in TABs, casinos and welfare offices. It wasn't long before they started lodging land claims of their own so it's these moles that are giving all the legitimate bludging Maoris a bad name (as they still lack the finer points of accepting handouts that have been perfected by Maori over generations).

At the turn of the century...I mean last century, there were less than 40,000 Maori left in NZ. Today there is 600,000. In fact the Maori population of NZ is growing faster than the European.
