Well done you! I learnt to ride on an FXR and they are such great bikes. Took mine on the 1000k capital cruise last year and it held its on. Really miss it actually - did the C1CK on my SV650 this year and didn't enjoy it half as much! (well except for going up the hills). Anyway enough about me, just wanted to say good on you. And yes the wind is a bitch on a light weight bike but you survived!

How fast was that little 150 able to go? I rode a Yamaha Scorpion and it struggled to get past 80.

Mechanic out the back of work used to use an FXR150 to run errands and ride to work on. He reckoned it would go anywhere at 120kph and loved it. Certainly didn't seem the type to be full of shit either!

Would that be 80 m/s or 80 furlongs per fortnight? It can't be 80 km/h.

The vehicle is capable of cruising at 110kph easily (seems alright...). However I belive that Scorpio can manage 110kph too (easily), cause I had one too and it's not that different to FXR. And no, I'm not calling you fat

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

I've been making some more videos myself trying to find a place with less vibrations (on a hornet!?!?).

Keep up the good work mate!

    Ouch!

Mate! I rode my FXR back from Hamilton to Auckland, and had a very sore rear when I arrived... You must've been sore as with this road trip! I wonder if it's possible to get a place like Stu's Trim Shop to change the padding in the seat to something a bit more comfortable, but leave it looking good?

Hmmm I dunno, after about 2 hours of riding i got used to the pain(?) The seat wasn't the main problem!
