and the .22 cal hole in it? LOL.... just make sure it's on the opposite neighbour's side of the roof.

Hey MadDuck - seriously - ever thought of getting Greenacres to come and mow your lawns?... Early on a Sunday morning?

Tell him to come early Sunday morning (or whenever will be MOST painful for them) and tell tham "Not my fault you're all awake - this is the only time the dude said he could do it"

Might be $40 very well spent...

Yep know all about renters, in 6 years we have had five lots and they have all been bad, the latest stated out cronic, loud stereo's and heavy bass shit till all hours..

Our experience of approaching neighbours has always been bad as they play on the information..

Only myself and wife doing battle with a bunch of young thugs..So we put up with these mutts and their party's and heavy bass for almost a month then I had had enough, came home with a large plastic 44 gallon drum cut one end out and faced it across the boundary, I sit on this while having a can of beer in the other hand I have a large thick stick now I don't have to hit this hard but boy does let out a massive BOOM and I play away whilst having a couple of slow cans, our problem has almost gone it is a lot quieter now, just hope it stays that way, seen too much life to put up with crapp from those with no values..

Hope it all comes good for you....

Further to the party on Saturday night, I spoke to his mother yesterday and she had already heard from all the other neighbours and her son had given her his version too. Apparently they had some fireworks on Friday night - we could hear what sounded like small gun shots for ages but figured it was someone out shooting rabbits or something. The neighbour across the road had called and left a message on their answerphone about the noise on Friday, but she didn't know the full story of Saturday night/Sunday morning. She wasn't very impressed when she heard what had been going on, and also the fact she'd left one of the guys who works for them in charge. A while back they went to the rugby in Wellington and this group turned up and when asked to leave they kicked over a pile of newly planted trees and damaged his car.

The kid is in his last year of school and is heading off to uni next year and she said they have pretty much finished for the year so all his mates want to do is head out to their place and muck around. I said carloads of them turn up all during the day and turn the stereo up full blast and as I worked from home, I was getting bloody sick of it. She gave me her cellphone number and said if there was ANY noise during the day, to ring or text her and she would sort it out.

Last night was the quietest it's been out here for about a year! The son's car went out and back in once, and there were NO other vehicles there once the parents got home after work. Every vehicle that did go in or out before then was driving very sedately and there was no thumping stereo either.

We didn't think the parents would react any differently but we were pleased that they didn't let us down and fly off the handle. It's usually a matter of kids acting like shits because that's what his parents are like too.

I'd say this kid has had his wings clipped and I look forward to life being nice and quiet again!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

    It just gets better

Well when I headed off down to Auckland today about 10.30am in my street I saw the Police Wagon and a fair number of police. Didnt think much about it to be honest as I had people to meet and places to be.

But on TV News tonight. Yep there we were in little old Stanmore Bay.

Not my neighbours but appears there was some kind of 'suspected' pipe bomb and a car that had no brakes...all a bit confusing. Think its time I moved back to GI ah?

I had a similar situation years ago ...... i was at the end of my leash and none of my calls to the council or anything worked in my favour so i thought , sort it out myself or put up with it.

Went over and asked them to settle down at a reasonable hour or i would have to quite my job as a dynamite specialist due to lack of sleep and safety.
They had a wee chuckle at me and the next night they fizzed up again,
I yelled over the fence to calm down or i would have to come over there and sort them, they again chuckled and i thought , rite you assholes , time for some fun.
I waited till about 1.00 am that night and as it was now really dark and they were all in the yard leering up loud , i started to lob large coke bottle dry ice bombs strategically over the fence. They ran down the drive , i lobbed one that way , they ran back to the back yard and i lobbed one that way.
As they thought i was a dynamite specialist i suppose its fair to assume they thought i was lobbing sticks at them . Cant they understand thats illegal. ??.

Anyhow , they were such nice boys after that and even came to let me know if they were going to have a couple of mates round and they promised to be quiet and orderly.
I just love it when a plan comes together and alls well in paradise .
    Ahhhhh memories.

Personally if a dog comes onto my property I would just kill it - I don't have a gun but grabbing its fore paws abd wrenching it's ribcage apart seems to do the trick (I really really hate dogs in case you can't tell ).

Doesn't work on pitbulls anyway as they are so flexible they can virtually do a 360 with their limbs. It might piss them off trying it though.

Locate your friendly local Mongrel Mob chapter. Meet them for a chat and find the 2 biggest most intimidating members. Offer them $100 each to come with you and "chat" with the neighbors. I am sure they would be delighted to help.

Ring your neighbors doorbell and voice your concerns, keeping your Mongrel Mob friends out of sight. If you get eny lip from them whatsoever and anything other than 100% cooperation tell them that your friends will be very disappointed to hear that they are not cooperating. Call your "friends" over. They should then do their job and scare the crap out of your neighbors. Finish the job by saying that next time your friends will have to be less polite and they will be forced to "deal with" the situation...

    I reckon it's worth $200...

Hmmmmm not sure we have one..but I did get a nice few nods from some Highway 61 members at the local BP yesterday.

They are going for it now and I may just go over and key their cars as they are too pissed to notice

Perhaps you should have a chat to the Mr Plod and give them a 'character' witness
