"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule
fastest i seen on my not stock zzr 11 was 320 km on the motorway heading home from Brighton with the missus on the back , shut the throttle as soon as i hit the max....just wanted to see how it felt even though it lasted just a few seconds

maybe that's true, but then why the hell do they ride the likes of 'busa's,or gsxr1000's on the road then?????
if they're trying to say they don't break the speed limits, then why do they need to upgrade from their 250's????a lot of those can break the legal limits.

i was of course drunk, it was of course a round about.
since then never been close ( well almost never ).
There's no real challenge in getting big bikes up to speed.
However I have fond memories of getting a TU250 up to an indicated 145km/h on the long downhill into Albany. Engine screaming, valves floating ...
