Ahh the love-hate affair with two strokers springs eternal

My two strokers aren't anywhere as modern as the RGV, but that ol'thrill you get when it fires up and ringa-ding-dings its way always hits the right spot!

I guess in the end, you will do what you have to do ... me? I'd keep the one you have to work on ... and buy the other one as well

But thats the crazy me talking ... just cause I collect them two stroker smokers I does! (no RGV yet though...)

why dont you just sell it and get a cheap 400?
4 strokes (apart from yamaha) are usually quite reliable

Problem is all the cop squaddies have the internet in their cars now and when they are not surfing KB they look at the vehicle database so essentially you need to put 250 stickers on your gixxer thou and put your VTR250 number plate on it too.

Well I test rode it and to be honest I think it needs a rebuild so that plan is out.
But all good Ill keep mine, Im not that unhappy with it I just wish I had a bit more money to throw at it, which I may do over the summer.
    Thanks for all the opinions
And yeah a 400 may be an option...though yeah I would ideally like to stick with a 250 till I get my full

I hear ya chick! I *had* a love affair with 2 smokers, they're the most fun bikes to ride however after blowing up 5 bikes in 2 years I have had to face reality. I rebuilt the bike and its now a strictly dedicated race bike. I have a huge debt myself so Ive decided to suck it up and go without a bike for a year and save my arse of. Im lucky cause I can still race and as its just a small 150 it doesnt cost too much.
I strongly advise against selling it. You'll never own another bike like it again and I reckon that you'll regret it. Maybe you should just look at buying a cheap 4 stroke and just have a good think before you sell her...

(however if you do decide to sell then can ya let me know!)

Needing a rebuild need not be a hugely expensive mission, a piston kit is only $345 Australian, and a really easy job. http://www.rgvspares.com/index.php?p...mart&Itemid=26

I'll put my hand up to help work on yours though, when ya come to Wellington if you like. I've got a lot of experience working on these wee critters, and just about every other type of bike for that matter, and I like to help out where I can.
