Sounds like you are leaning towards keeping it. Good on you. Now get it to the racetrack. You will have a blast.

As much as I love CBR250RR's, I do miss some things about my Pepsi Replica RGV250.

Per chance you wouldnt have a decent clutch housing lying around in that box? In particular i am looking for another sleeve hub as mine has some nasty lookn grooves in the splines.

You have to be kidding right? If he goes from a RGV to a shit-slow 08 ninja 250 he'll probably throw himself off of a bridge when he realises he's spent a whopping 7 grand on a shiny piece of plastic that's little faster than a moped... the drop in power is too extreme.

Look dude what's happening to your bike is not right.. RGV's are wicked bikes... either spend the extra effort fixing a few things or just sell and get another one. I agree with the other guy above... if you love the bike, just fix it, or get another one if you can. you should be thankful that parts are so easy to get for them anyway! You can always sell the bike... I went through 3 NC30's before i arrived at the one I am truly happy with... you can it no matter the condition... there is always someone willing to buy yours and fix it/whatever.

Wow! Utmost respect to you! What girl has fucking time for a potent 2 stroke weapon??? Do you need the power of the machine or what? If you don't mind the thought of missing it then maybe getting a 4 stroke is the better option?
