Look whatever you want to say- im not trying to stir more shit, stop trying to be fucking different and accept the fact that females generally don't get as much of a kick out of {fast, dangerous, unreliable machines} as guys do... that's IN GENERAL. Right?

I never even said she SHOULD sell it.. i just said on the off chance that she reckons she doesn't reap the benefits of that 2 stroke motor that she might want to consider it... I'm not being weird at all!! Of course females should have the right to vote/ equal rights etc etc etc for fucks sake YOU guys are doing the shit mixing here! I'm seriously not being sexist- but you have to accept the facts- look at any motorsport/motoring hobbies on earth... is their a trend in the male to female ratio? Right?

Get real! Girls are girls guys are guys... i don't enjoy fucking makeup and that lark... do you? Cool- i'm sure she's an awesome rider and I am sorry for assuming her of being a guy! Just assuming the norm that's all. If you guys say that a female 2 stroke enthusiast, mechanically minded, speed loving (that's what we love our 2 strokes for RIGHT?) biker (rach- not saying that's you at all, sorry for this mess) is the norm then take a fucking look around, you need to hang out with more girls....

..I think that sums it up. Sorry for all that guys... whoops i mean people.

    Christ almighty- back to topic!

Best of luck with your RGV it's a pain fixing older machines but I'd be thankful that RGV's are one of the bikes in which parts are pretty plentiful for!

Well I probably got defensive but I am in a male dominated profession (especially if I want surgery) and I have to work my ass off to prove Im just as good (or better ahah) than guys.
Poorly chosen word selection was probably the case here, maybe think a bit more before you speak.
Just curiously why wouldn't I reap the benefits of a 2 stroke?
If I didnt want it I would be going on about how I hate it and want to get rid of it asap, which is not the case.
I was only going to sell it to buy another.
But yeah on topic...I am keeping my baby (first bike and I really dont want to sell it) going to slowly fix it up when I can, hopefully catch things before they break so Im not left with no bike for any length of time.

Sorry Rachprice- again, was just thinking along the lines that the average female wouldn't want to spend their time screaming along at the most upper quarter of the rpm range, thus not exploiting the advantage of the bike.

There was an RGV VJ22 wreck on trademe just a few weeks ago... did you have a look at that one? Maybe there are still some parts left over if you can find it in the expired listing?

That's actually not a terrible point Trademe 900.

The 2 strokes hate being dawdled around and are absolutely useless at below 2/3rds of redline. Most people hardly ever use above 2/3 of the rev range when riding around town, and in all honesty those bikes tend to get oil and carbon buildup if you don't regularly blow them out. And we all know that females are generally more sensible drivers than young idiot males like myself, so they often aren't winding it up at every opportunity like I used to. (I think I explained it politically correctly, just this day and age mate, you've got to tread carefully and only talk about females in positive terms. You're only allowed to be sexist if it's profemale and antimale because women are better whingers hehe).

hahaha yeah PC.... and I really dont whinge that much
How could you talk about females in anything but positive hahaha
I know all this and it isnt just a bike to ride around town (it hates town, 50km is just before the power band so it doesnt ride so smooth)
I enjoy taking it out and thrashing the shit out of it!

Can you explain these 'average females' who ride motorbikes to me. I don't think I've ever met an 'average female' who actually rides bikes. I clearly am not one of these girls you speak of and ALL the girls that I know who ride like thrashing their machines and using up the high revs. Perhaps you speak of the 'average scooter riding' female? Come on be honest - you're just implying that the 'average girl' must be slow and woosie

I know it's not quite an RGV250 but I used to borrow my wife's RG150 to commute and I always kept it in the top 1/4 of it's rev range....I managed to do this by using a thing called the gearbox i.e. if you keep it in a lower gear 3/4 of redline is still legal....chews fuel though....
